What is so surprising is that the failures are so obvious, and especially in light of the fact that the supporting company is so well respected for its technical expertise and leadership.
As far as I am concerned, this is pretty much the most suitable operating system for ALL my needs. I have very very few problems with any of my fedora installations.
Each Linux distribution has its strengths and weaknesses. Fedora has always been a "leading edge" distribution which probably makes it the wrong choice for newcomers to the OS or for those who want long-term support. It that respect I think it's the wrong candidate for "prime time". There are plenty of other distros out there that are more targeted to that end. Fedora is what it is.
Is it just me or does anyone else find it strange that someone who *seems* to know a little about Linux (comment about ALSA) expects a bootloader to provide networking?
