I just dealt with a XP system hooked up to an HD monitor. Result: stretching Sooooo glad to get back to fedora.

Windows 8 does the same thing even with a regular widescreen monitor. The only version of Windows to properly support high resolutions is Windows 7.

Don't I wish. I think Windows 8 lowered the graphics support because metro is less sophisticated graphically and is optimized for a lower resolutions, and the desktop is just along for a ride. I've only tested it on one computer though.

If you aren't interested in watching the whole thing, at least fast forward to 22:00 and go to 24:00.
