Asus 1005HA

Does it work is it easy to use, im a real begginer for linux need advice just for general info.

I have the 1000HE and it works pretty well. The only trouble is the wireless. Mine has an AR928x card, and the 2.6.30 and 2.6.31 kernels seem to have a bit of trouble with it, frequently dropping connections.

However, sometimes, the Asus EEE's have realtek cards. I don't know about them.

I'm just saying that *I* have no experience with the Realtek card. I don't know if it's easy to get it working or not. If it's running Windows right now, use Windows Device Manager to see what model it is, then google that model. (Or search these forums for that model number.).

i have installed F12 on my 1005HA. the wifi card is an atheros 9285, it is supported out of the box.

Atheros AR 9285

I have an Atheros AR 9285 card installed on a HP G60-535DX notebook. Immediately after reboot wireless is OK, then it degrades and later stops and gives me authentication failures.

@hindiogine, see above--this is the Linux kernel's fault,not Fedora's. Check out wireless-compat drivers, they often help.
