how to install real player and vlc player offline

hi friends, i am using fedora 12. How can i install vlc player and real player in offline?
And one more is , in fedora we have the default players Rythmbox and movieplayers.
If i tried to play songs or movie it showed an error saying "need codecs"?
How can i resolve these problems? please give an urgent reply to my questions as soon as possible.
