using dataone broadband to access the internet on cell phone

hi,

i'm thinking if one can use mobile phones to connect to the internet on a computer(laptop, desktop) then why not use any broadband connection to connect a mobile phone to the internet.

1) is it possible ?
2) if yes, then what do i need to do ?
3) if no, why not ?

i have at home
1) DataOne BroadBand connection ( i'm in India )
2) Modem is Nokia Siemens Networks SL2_141
3) I use Fedora 11
4) I Have a Sony Ericsson T630 mobile phone

Well ? any ideas ?

Thanks
