vnc server again

I tried Fedora for the first time ... installation worked like a dream, then I wanted to access Fedora from my Debian box on my LAN.
What I did in Fedora was:

1. Install vncserver and vnc (Tigervnc server and Tiger vnc were installed)
2. Gave command vncserver and gave passwd it asked for
3. Went to 'System-> Administration -> Sevices' and enabled vncserver
4. Installed vino
5. Went to 'System-> Preferences -> Remote Desktop' and enabled access & change desktop and also gave passwd (same as in 2 above)
6. Rebooted ... vncserver still up and running
7. Tried to vnc from my Debian box (with 'vinagre') ... but get only Connection closed ... hmmm
8. I have been using vnc & vncserver both in Windows and Debian and it have worked but have problems with Fedora 11 ... what is wrong ???

Sounds like the firewall doesn't have the ports open for VNC.

You're right - after openening the ports it worked ... thanks
But every time I run 'vinagre' I get an alert from 'Bug Buddy' ... check the attachment ... hmm what is that ???
The 'gnome-settings-daemon-bugreport.txt'and 'nm-applet-bugreport' is above my level ...
What do you suggest ?

I haven't used vinagre -- won't be of much help. I'd repost this as a new thread as it appears to me to be a separate issue. New thread will draw more attention.

You might see if the vinagre have support forums also.

Don't think it has to do with vinagre ... same thing happens with xtightvncviewer ...
I suspect it has to do with Fedora's way of handling a remote request for accessing its desktop ... just can't figure out what it is ...

Thanks for the link - I followed step 1 (recommended VNC-server approach) and it worked OK ... but I still get the alert from 'Bug Buddy' ... any ideas what that can be ?
