I've just resumed using Fedora after briefly trying it out last year. I have a second hand IBM Thinkpad X60s now and after the initial trauma of Yum and RPM Fusion things seem fine. Only one minor-ish issue, which is that if I scroll through Applications in the dash at a certain speed I get weird colour flashing occurring in that space. As per Tommy Cooper's GP, "Don't do that then!" may be the only advice but I thought I'd ask in case there is a tweak that will stop this happening. I used Ubuntu with Gnome 3 for a few days this week and this didn't happen. It doesn't happen with third party Gnome 3 themes either - just Gnome's own!
Intel Core Duo L2400 @1.6 ghz, G945 chipset, Samsung 128gb SSD, 32 bit Fedora 17, all updates applied.
Thanks.

Seems this isn't a driver problem or anything like that but obscurely to do with my trying to replace the spidery Canterell font with DejaVu Sans. For the time being I've undone this, but I suppose there'll be somewhere more appropriate to ask about it.
