Arrow Gateway NV7915u - Fedora 13 (No LCD monitor backlight)

Hi, as I'm writing I'm installing Fedora 13 (64-bits) on my laptop Gateway NV7915u (which you probably remember from this thread). In the morning I ran it from the live cd and everything was 99% alright.... except for this one little thing...

I could not see anything on the monitor... it was like if it was off... but the I took a good look at it and there it was a very nice graphical interface... but the backlight (I don't know how to call it) of the LCD monitor doesn't light up... i mean... there is no contrast.... so I took my vintage (but still useful) nokia cell phone that has a little flash light on the top and started to check the whole system out....

I thought that it wouldn't happend after the instalation with the dvd (which i manage to get it done with an extra monitor) but I was wrong....

Well the good news is that now I'm dual-booting without any problem and the installation took me just 20min ...

I must look very stupid with my little flashlight/cell phone trying to fix it... but i don't care I have a dual boot now :P (Well it actually be great to get it all right for the first time...)

Can anybody help me fix this little problem?

Thanks!

Does anyone have a solution to this? I have the same laptop without any backlight on the live cd and I cannot install.. the only thing I can see is grub

Try not to install Fedora 13 or you'll get pushed into the EOL section ;-)

I should have been more specific. This has happened with every kernel and distro I have tried since kernel 2.6.n and most recently with Fedora 17's live CD.
