Post anaconda hardware init

Hi all,
smolt id: --> dd160782-0228-4022-9f87-5142122878805
My hardware in a nutshell is:
Gigabyte Mobo, Award bios, AMD BE 550.
I am using the onboard ATI VGA, the realtek onboard audio out.
FC11 runs fine in this environment, couldn't be happier.
But, during a full install of FC12 anaconda stops with a message that says
hardware initialization in mid screen, machine freezes up and I'm dead inthe water.
Now,
there is nothing wrong with my FC12 install DVD. Because I can install
FC12 on an older machine with Nvidia video drivers and Nvidia Mobo chipset software etc.
So, FC11 works fine on my current latest and greatest computer but
FC12 hangs in anaconda.
Nowhere have I noticed in all these threads this kind of a problem.
Anybody with thoughts?
