Bumblebee install error

Hi partners,

when i type ./configure this appear:



checking for x11... no
configure: error: Package requirements (x11) were not met:

No package 'x11' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables x11_CFLAGS
and x11_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

What packages i need to install?

after all steps console get this:

I haven't tried bumblebee on Fedora, but please try this and report the result here. If everything is fine, I think I would try it on my machine.

As the guide says you do

yum -y install bumblebee-nvidia

then immediately, which is recommended:

reboot

If everything is ok, I mean if the installation is successful, now you can issue this command

optirun name_of_a_program

examples:

optirun glxspheres
optirun firefox
...

That's as far as I can go. I only run Ubuntu. Fedora 17 runs on Virtualbox.

Yes. I'm not using bumblebee right now, but I've had it installed just about a month ago...

I've used it with F17 betas & TCs... then I've clean installed the F17 RC... since then, I've had no spare time to install it again.

It's not as easy to install as it should be but, if you follow the guides of my other post, it would fully work.

I've installed it three or four different times (I was trying every guide I found out) in my Asus K93SV laptop (F17 x64, Sandy Bridge intel HD3000, nvidia GT540M)...

The best configuration (in my case) was by using the rpmfusion Fedora adapted nvidia driver instead of using nouveau (also tested) or the nvidia propietary one (untested).
