Expand LVM partition

Hi,

I have a 500GB hard drive of which 180GB is not used.
Filesystem (Partition 1) 524 MB
Partiton 2 LVM2 320 GB
Free space 180GB

I regularly get low disk space and would like to extend Partition 2 to use the 180GB free space. How do I do that?

Thanks

Actually, I have 149GB used for my dual boot (WIN10 and Fedora 25) HDD. Both of them are toast (to the top of use, WIN10 89%, Fedora 98%). But I have 465GB overall space. And smr54... Your documentation truy helped me.

Looking to your documentation, I was able to enhance at least my / to the end of my physical HDD!

Why I always create such an idiotic HDD's pertitions, only One knows!?

As always, CLI transcript follows:

Quote:
[user@localhost ~]$ df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
devtmpfs 5973392 0 5973392 0% /dev
tmpfs 5986768 4 5986764 1% /dev/shm
tmpfs 5986768 1812 5984956 1% /run
tmpfs 5986768 0 5986768 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
/dev/mapper/fedora-root 389907580 57043556 316373412 16% /
tmpfs 5986768 484 5986284 1% /tmp
/dev/sda6 967320 261700 639268 30% /boot
/dev/sda2 1044480 34264 1010216 4% /boot/efi
tmpfs 1197352 12 1197340 1% /run/user/42
tmpfs 1197352 24 1197328 1% /run/user/1000
[user@localhost ~]$ su -m
Password:
[root@localhost ~]# resize2fs /dev/mapper/fedora-root
resize2fs 1.43.3 (04-Sep-2016)
The filesystem is already 99064832 (4k) blocks long. Nothing to do!

[root@localhost ~]#
I did in RED PRIOR to this transcript!

Thank you again,
_nobody_
