Awesome job!

Just recently moved over from Ubuntu after eight years and I'm loving the user intuitive interface of Fedora 22.

It's fast, easy to use and a sheer pleasure to see.

Well done,

Have one thing I don't understand though.

What is the rectangle with an arrow icon for in the top right drop down?

It doesn't appear to do anything, as far as I can see.

Once again thanks for the superb system

Re: Awesome job!

Perhaps you're talking about the download indicator? If you click on it, you'll see the progress of any downloads you're making.

Could you take a picture and post here? To do that, simply press "prt sc" key, look at Pictures folder to find file named screeenshots-YY-MM-DD. Thank you.

Re: Awesome job!

Still having problems with that; post it to your Album (user CP) and then link from there.

Re: Awesome job!

That is weird, I've not noticed that icon before when using GNOME.

Re: Awesome job!

Yeah, it doesn't appear to do anything.

Though it probably does and I just haven't noticed.

Re: Awesome job!

It almost looks like a rotation lock button... Maybe they're working on a phone soon?

Re: Awesome job!

Hi guys - just figured out one possible use.

Maybe it's specific to tablet and other devices with rotation, this could be a locking setting for those devices to stop rotation.

You get the same on the iPad.

Just a thought

Re: Awesome job!

is it to do with sleep or hybernation. Some Gnome tweaks can add a separate icon for hybernate.

Re: Awesome job!

It looks like a rotate screen from either tablet or phone devices.
