problem adding music to ryhtmbox

Hi,

when I try to import my music to rythmbox it tries to scan the directoy but doesn't find all files. From try to try it finds something between 18000 and 22000 files although it should find something about 26500. Additionally it adds only my flac music and not all the mp3 files, although the preferred format is set to mp3.

Any ideas? thanks

Edit: When drag and dropping mp3 files, rythmbox tells me, the music gets added but I still do not see it.

Edit: Life can be easy. Some gstreamer plugins were missing. Maybe someone has an idea, why not all files are found.

Re: problem adding music to ryhtmbox

have you installed rpmfusion free? Fedora comes without mp3 support so you won't find any mp3 plugins in the core package hence the need for rpmfusion.

I have a feeling that rhythymbox/fedora prompted me for the plugins and was able to install graphically once rpmfusion was available.

Re: problem adding music to ryhtmbox

thanks for your answer. I had rpm fusion alrady installed and did some more testings.
After doubleclikcing a mp3 to directly open it, I was prompted to install the codecs. While trying to import the files, nothing like that happened. Anyway, now it works
