Re: Fedora 17 no network connection. Broadcom 4313

I, too, had some problems with the stock driver, on Fedora 18. NetworkManager would connect, at least after a couple of restarts, without asking for the password more than once, but the connection was excruciatingly slow. I was testing my phone (Sony Xperia Tipo running CyanogenMod 10 / Android 4.1.2) as a Wi-Fi access point, and an internet connection speed test gave results of 1.0 - 1.5 Mbit/s on the phone, but less than 0.1 Mbit/s across the Wi-Fi. I switched to the driver in the broadcom-wl package from RPM Fusion, and now I get the full speed of the phone's mobile broadband also across Wi-Fi. This is on kernel 3.7.5-201.fc18.x86_64. I have another internet connection for regular use on my computer, but it's nice to know that the problem with the speed when tethering was not because of the phone or the unofficial CyanogenMod version I'm using on it.

Hello I think also my problem was solved with kernel 3.7.3-101.fc17.x86_64.
But , I don't understand why I have to keep my SSD viewable.
