I just installed the XFCE version of fedora and while it mostly works, there are a few issues that get in the way. As a bit of background, I am running this on a Toshiba Satellite L775. The actual laptop is connected to a 20" external screen positioned below the laptop. I use this external screen as my primary screen (while at home). Having used xrandr to setup the proper extended desktop, I moved the two default panels from the upper laptop screen to the lower external. They were placed in the same relative position, that is, the long one on the top edge of the screen and the short one on the lower edge of the screen. I soon noticed that maximizing a window in the external screen caused the title bar of the window to be hidden underneath the upper panel. The lower edge works as expected, keeping the lower edge of the window above the small panel. Are there any ways to realign the maximize boundarys to keep windows from conflicting with the upper panel?
