Broadcom 4357

Yep, another n00b with a Broadcom wireless problem looking for help.

Running F12, recently installed, as updated as possible.

lspci gives
Code:
Network controller: Broadcom Corporation Device 4357 (rev 01)
Wired connects, Bluetooth connects. Wireless networks are not even an option in the Networking, and have not been since I installed F12.

I have all Broadcom things installed from Add/Remove Software. Based on previous threads, I would guess some of those are causing problems.

I would really appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Re: Broadcom 4357

I had the same symptoms and setup, and then installed the package "Common files for Broadcom STA 802.11 STA driver", and that did the trick. I now have 802.11 b/n/g support.

Re: Broadcom 4357

i had a very similar issue - i would almost bet that isn't the number of the driver
lspci produces:
Code:
02:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation Device 4357 (rev 01)
for me
infact - my broadcom chip is 43225 (found out via windows, couldn't find info elsewhere)
i did
Code:
yum install kmod-wl
and that got my driver working
