Mean the Fedora Core 3 README (README_en) file ? Theres nothing there about LCDs

or you mean this one

Certain hardware configurations (particularly those with LCD displays)
may experience problems while starting the Fedora Core installation
program. In these instances, restart the installation, and add the
"nofb" option to the boot command line

which I have already tried....

Try installing in Text mode instead of GUI. Once installed it should work. If not you can follow the manual changes of the x file.

Then it should automatically switch to the GUI console. Setup the monitor type and the resolution you want and then save the configuration. That was all I had to do.
Thank you ktulu07,

That was exactly what I was looking for. I just replaced my Glass Monitor with an LCD and was getting a floating Icon stating "Not set to optimal resolution" or some such. Using the CTRL+ALT+F2 and logging in as root, typing system-config-display --reconfig allowed me to select Generic LCD with 1280x1024 and set the depth to Millions of colors, exit that and type reboot and the system came up flawlessly.

Solved my problem with the new monitor.
