LibreOffice 5.1.0 to Land with GTK+3 and Wayland Fixes

http://news.softpedia.com/news/libre...s-497879.shtml
Quote:
...According to the changelog, some GTK3+ and Wayland fixes have been implemented, unicode conversion shortcut like word (alt+x) has been added, images are no longer distorted diagonally on PDF export when OpenGL rendering is enabled, the recalculation formulas have been refined, frame and image alignment buttons are now using correct tooltips, and a number of other fixes have been added as well.
This report looks like they verified the source.

Re: LibreOffice 5.1.0 to Land with GTK+3 and Wayland Fixes

Got it last night and it's very well packaged now. It is completely self-contained and no longer needs the two dependencies it asked for previously when I install it to MATE (they were removed via the cleanup unused requirements option when I uninstalled 5.0.4). So an internet connection is not necessary to install it any longer.

The new menu system is evolution rather than revolution but it is simpler and makes common commands quicker to access. I could be mistaken but it also seems more responsive so far.

WoW! I clicked on Garum's link and the second (first) thing to pop up is a small challenge window from Microsoft, inviting me to compare LO with Office. http://www.pcworld.com/article/30312...r-support.html

Woa, you can now actually get a pre-baked RPM?

TDF have been pre-baking them for years, e.g.
