Getting Things GNOME blew away my tasks

Hi all,

I recently tried syncing Getting Things GNOME to Remember The Milk using the included plug-in.

Remember The Milk got all the tasks (though it completely ignored the organization) and, suddenly, Getting Things GNOME claims I have no tasks (or rather, I only have 'my new task'.) All of my tags are gone as well. Trying to re-sync with RTM doesn't pull down anything.

Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions on restoring my task list short of pulling it from my slightly out-of-date backup?

Thanks,

Re: Getting Things GNOME blew away my tasks

See related bug with partial solution. It brought my tasks back.... unorganized but at least they're there.

https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/gtg/+bug/753327

the solution is

https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/gtg/...327/comments/4

From the sound of it, RTM changed their API. Since GTG isn't officially supported by RTM, I don't think I'll be using RTM any more.

Re: Getting Things GNOME blew away my tasks

I started using GTG these past few weeks and experienced the same problem, except i was syncing with GNote.

I was able to bring back my To Do list items that were stored and I too had to manually go thru the individual items and drag and drop them into larger tasks.

GTG ver. 0.3.1 (ca. 2013)
GNote ver. 3.20.2 (ca. 2016)

Now that everything is back in place I will avoid using the sync. feature until it is FIXED.

Re: Getting Things GNOME blew away my tasks

it looks like gtg is abandonware if it hasn't received any updates or fixes in the last four years. certainly it is no longer maintained for the fedora project.
