Avidemux

2 Questions on Avidemux.

First when I installed it on Ubuntu (sudo apt-get install avidemux) it said Avidemux (GTK) on the Applications menu launcher and when I installed it on Fedora (sudo yum install avidemux) it says Avidemux Video Editor (QT). What's the difference betwen GTK and QT?

Second is Avidemux doesn't run, here is the terminal output:

I installed "avidemux-gtk" and it works.

It's wierd why would "avidemux" (Without specifying GTK install QT when it dosen't work?

I typed that command you said and it just said that one provides it for the GTK Interface and One provides the QTK Interface.

Brief answer to your first question is " gtk : qt = gnome : kde "

For the problem: what is the output of
Code:
ldd `which avidemux2_qt4`
And your version is 2.4.4, on my system I have 2.5.0 from RPMFusion, maybe you could upgrade it.

I don't care too much about the version, this one did what I needed
