CorelDRAW ClipArt CD to Inkscape SVG

Any luck w/ converting Old CorelDRAW 8 ClipArt CD to Inkscape on Fedora 25?
(NOTE: CD8 is from 1998 Win95/98/NT & NOT Modern x8 Corel)
The ClipArt is used by Small Print Shops & Business.

Did not work, possibly because I'm using a LiveDVD?

This is not a problem on W7 which involves GhostScript, SK1 UniConvertor &/or PDF

Re: CorelDRAW ClipArt CD to Inkscape SVG

Thanks for the update.

I have already started copy & converting only the best ClipArt from the CD.

Have you tested the 'sK1 2.0 RC2' sk1project.net?

Re: CorelDRAW ClipArt CD to Inkscape SVG

Thanks for the point out.
I had though sk1 was dead. I think Inkscape was branched off of sk1?

I installed the fedora package for f24 and it seems to run fine. I use text a lot and the results I was getting were a little strange. I'll give it a spin again later on.
I try as much as I can to use Inkscape or Scribus but sometimes I have to kick up that vm and run my old version of
CorelDraw x3 it just has all the right stuff to get the job done. If they had a Linux version I would buy it. And yes do own the old version 9 for Linux. It's actually 9 that runs in wine. I could get it to install on anything since all the dependencies are obsoleted.

Maybe some day they'll have an Android version?

Re: CorelDRAW ClipArt CD to Inkscape SVG

I have old CorelDRAW 8 & x4

Back in 1999 there was Corel Linux & CorelDraw 9 Graphics Suite for Linux... The good old days.

If Corel had stayed with Linux; apple would have rotted away.

Re: CorelDRAW ClipArt CD to Inkscape SVG

Inkscape is supposed to be able to import Corel Draw with the use of UniConvertor. I haven't actually tried it, though, as I don't have any Corel Draw files left around here. UniConvertor is in the Fedora repo.

Code:
dnf install uniconvertor
