MuseScore in F17

Hello,

This was kind of hard, so I'm just sharing in case it's of any use for anyone else.

How to install:
This part is easy: Just open a terminal and under superuser, type:
yum install mscore

But there was a problem:
After installing MuseScore you had no sound... despite the fact the installation grabbed at least one soundfont as dependency.

How I solved it:
I installed JACK audio server in my system, and Qsynth or Qjackctl as a GUI to manage it. In my experience, Qsynth was easier to configure, so I suggest using that one.

In Qsynth, I clicked on setup, changed MIDI driver to "jack", then selected a soundfont on... well... Soundfonts.
After that, I opened MuseScore, went to edit > preferences > I/O and checked "use internal synthetizer" and "JACK audio server", unchecking the rest.

After this, I closed and restarted MuseScore. I had sound now.

Beautiful...

Almost forgot... You need to start Qsynth and activate the JACK audio server there before every time you will open MuseScore. If you forget, you won't have sound again.
