Would this be safe and secure with common sense

Would this be safe and secure with common sense.

Its me and my daughter and we have a total of three computers - all with linux.
Now we have a router and install UFW as firewall on our linux systems - thats it.

I think that should cut it for regular use with out having any worries or be paranoid for getting attacks or whatever hackers/crackers do.

Do you agree or disagree ?

Should i spend more time and effort into security solutions.

Cheers

It depends what the defaults for ufw are and whether you have adjusted them. I would be less worried about crackers and more concerned with safe browsing. Run fire fox with adblock and no script. Linux shpuld be non paramoid secure out the box.

For all intents and purposes, exactly as Adunaic. Short of building the router yourself, have a look at pfsense or features firmware such as tomato and dd-wrt have. Then again this maybe way too much info.
