Black screen after blue and white bars on fedora live cd boot

I get past the count down. The bars run across the top. Then my lcd monitor announces it has no signal and goes to sleep. Had this problem with earlier versions of Ubuntu, particularly 8.04. Was fixed in 8.10.

Any advice to get Fedora 11 up and running?

Wait for FC12 (11 days).
I know this won't be a solution, but have you try to install fedora/ubuntu via an emu like virtualbox from windows?
