Question Installed Nvidia Driver = Taskbar Shrunk & K Menu Taking too long to launch

I installed Nvidia drivers for my GTS250 card by reading instructions in this thread. Since I have 4GB of RAm, I decided to install the PAE Kernel on my system. After rebooting I was prompted to choose between Normal Fedora 12 & the Fedora 12 PAE Kernel. I booted into normal but it could not detect my Full HD monitor & so it ran at 1280*1024. So I now get black space on all sides of the screen.

After that I booted into PAE kernel. Here everything seems to be fine except that the taskbar has shrunk. It now covers only around 60% horizontal area while the rest is left blank. Also the 'K' Menu takes around 10-15 secs to open upon clicking on it.

How do I remedy them?

Ok, so I will now install F12 GNOME.
Should I select the PAE kernel or not while installing the nvidia drivers?

If you have a PAE kernel install the PAE kmod.

The KDE / nVidia problem has been fixed, make sure your system is up to date.
