Cannot capture screenshot, Fedora 25 / Gnome 3.22.1

I have tried to capture a screenshot with both Shutter and GIMP, and it does not work.

When I use Shutter, I get a grey background image with the Shutter program's icon tiled across and down it.

When I use GIMP, I get a solid black image.

I did search for this using Google and also here on FedoraForums, but I basically found nothing relevant, or certainly remotely close to up-to-date.

I have not yet tried troubleshooting this because, to be honest, I haven't the foggiest where to begin.

Anyone here have any ideas?

Always worth doing a quick check of recent threads in Using Fedora sub-forum.
Don't know about GIMP, but options for Shutter are revealed by Dutchy in this thread.

Well, thanks, JONOR! I searched but that didn't come up in what I was looking for.

Thank you so much!
