Debugging Kernel Panic

My F25 system periodically freezes and I don't see any pattern in when it happens. Sometimes it occurs while I'm using the system and other times at idle.

Based on my research I think this seems likely to be a kernel panic, but I'm struggling to figure out what logs I can look at to debug this problem. I'm looking for any advice on how to debug and solve my system.

I'm sort of towards the newbie side of the Linux scale, so any help would be greatly appreciated

A couple other notes:
- this issue has been occurring for quite a while now, dating back to when I used to run F23
- I'm running F25 Gnome with Xorg

Please let me know what information I can provide to begin tracking this down.

Thank you

Re: Debugging Kernel Panic

journalctl -b
will ouput logs of the current boot which you can page through. You could search for errors with:
journalctl -b |grep -i error
There might be a clue to the problem.

You can read this: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?p=1771185
Also this (for better understanding): https://www.digitalocean.com/communi...e-systemd-logs

For instance, to see the journal from the previous boot, use the -1 relative pointer with the -b flag: journalctl -b -1
But, it is better to attach the whole dmesg log to this thread for somebody's/nobody's inspection.

I am nobody, and nobody is perfect, therefore I am perfect!

Re: Debugging Kernel Panic

Thank you both. I will report back after the next freeze when I can pull the crash logs.
