Fedora 25 KDE install via dnf

Hi,

I've installed Fedora 25 in VM. I wanted to try KDE desktop and tried to install from terminal with following commands:
Code:
dnf install @kde-desktop
dnf group install kde-desktop-environment
It gives:
Code:
Environment 'KDE Plasma Workspaces' is already installed, skipping.
Dependencies resolved.
Nothing to do.
Complete!
But at the login I do not see KDE option. I also installed switchedesk and KDE is not there. Reboot and logout did not make anydifference. In the software list there is no KDE applications seen.

How can I install KDE?

Thanks

Possibly you have only group installed without actual packages. It is possible to remove the group without packages so you may try that and then install again.

Code:
$ sudo dnf group mark remove "KDE Plasma Workspaces"
$ sudo dnf group install "KDE Plasma Workspaces"

Thanks for your reply. I tried those commands. Here are the results:
Code:
dnf group mark remove "KDE Plasma Workspaces"
Last metadata expiration check: 3:04:56 ago on Fri Nov 25 23:07:53 2016.
Environments marked removed: KDE Plasma Workspaces
Code:
dnf group install "KDE Plasma Workspaces"
Last metadata expiration check: 3:05:24 ago on Fri Nov 25 23:07:53 2016.
Error: package firewall-config-0.4.3.3-1.fc25.noarch requires firewalld = 0.4.3.3-1.fc25, but none of the providers can be installed
(try to add '--allowerasing' to command line to replace conflicting packages)
Code:
dnf group install "KDE Plasma Workspaces" --allowerasing
Last metadata expiration check: 3:06:36 ago on Fri Nov 25 23:07:53 2016.
Environment 'KDE Plasma Workspaces' is already installed, skipping.
Dependencies resolved.
Nothing to do.
Complete!
There is some kind of a conflict I think.

Re: Fedora 25 KDE install via dnf

I did a plasma desktop install and it worked.

Code:
dnf install plasma-desktop
I don't know the exact problem but this solved the issue.

Also it will show in the sddm login desktop list (clicking the 'gear') as "Plasma" so if you're looking for "KDE" that might be confusing.
