Question Java + Wayland + input/freeze problems

Hi,

I think there are some strange locks concerning wayland + java, I have for the past 6 month had problems when java programs as IntelliJIDEA, SoapUI, JMeter is sort of locking up and loose the mouse input.

Often I can focus the window of the javaprogram and use the keys to select menus as exit or quit, and when I close one of the programs the lock seems to be released.

I have also noticed that Chrome sometimes also can loose the input together with java programs.

It's really hard to see any common things which is causing this except for the following:
- Using dual monitor
- Wayland
- Java programs

So my question is if anyone else has experienced similar problems and of course if there is a solution?

I have had the same problem with Fedora 23 and 24, different kernels and also a different javaversions from the official oracle 1.8 to openjdk 1.8.

I think I found a bug somewhere about a similar problem but I haven't been able to find it again. Hard to know where the actual problem is.

Regards Perty

Re: Java + Wayland + input/freeze problems

Hi,
I facing the same problem. Minutes after I've start a java desktop program, the mouse's click action stop to work.
When I kill the java program, my desktop back work to normal.
I guess this could be related to wayland.

Re: Java + Wayland + input/freeze problems

After an update to Fedora 25 the problem has almost gone, happened maybe once or twice last month..

So an upgrade is really recommended.
