Getting BCM 43142 bluetooth to work on Fedora 20, wifi works fine

Trying to get my BCM 43142 card's bluetooth to work on Lenovo z50. I followed instructions from this forum to install the akmod-wl to get the wifi working. But I am not able to get bluetooth working.

When I go to Settings -> Bluetooth, it says Bluetooth is disabled.

Code:
uname -r
3.15.10-200.fc20.x86_64
uname -m
x86_64
Output from lspci
Code:
lspci -v | grep BCM
02:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM43142 802.11b/g/n (rev 01)
rfkill says:
Code:
$ rfkill list bluetooth
2: ideapad_bluetooth: Bluetooth
	Soft blocked: yes
	Hard blocked: no
$ rfkill unblock bluetooth
$ rfkill list bluetooth
2: ideapad_bluetooth: Bluetooth
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no
Output from hciconfig and hcitool
Code:
$ hciconfig
<empty>
$ hcitool dev
Devices:
What dmesg says:
Code:
$ dmesg | grep Blue
[   34.902228] Bluetooth: Core ver 2.19

have you installed bluedevil? that worked for me. when you run bluedevil it prompts to turn on functions as you try to use them. I got it paired with my Moto G and can transfer data back and forth without problems now.

Just installed bluedevil and restarted the system, still no luck.
When I run bluedevil monolith and click on the message tray icon, it says no adapter found.

Here's how I had my bluetooth working on my Dell Inspiron 11 3000 with that same wifi / bluetooth chip:

I hope it helps.
