Fedora Linux Update Indicator Extension

I came across this gnome extension yesterday and I am trying it out.

Julio Galvan developped an interesting software tool that you setup to check for Fedora updates every few hours. I set my copy to check for updates every 800 minutes (just less than day/2 ). If it the software reports that updates are available, it can be configured to do the installation on your behalf. It appears to be more useful that the Gnome software tool.

Yes.

It has some quirks. You need to present a password when you reboot your system. The best approach to avoid the request is to suspend or hibernate. Of course, installing a kernel upgrade needs a reboot. I can do my own checking every other day.

Re: Fedora Linux Update Indicator Extension

so it's similar to the yumex background update check with panel icon then. I believe yumex-dnf offers similar too.
