Changing resolution to 1024x768 on F11 i386

I have recently just downloadedc and installed F11 because the one i had was out of date... I need help to fix screen resolution to 1024x768

I know how to get there... it doesn't detect my monitor... how do you make it detect your monitor... it is a LCD 1024x768
