Evolution hangs - From system monitor everything seems okay.

Hello guys,

As title says, I have a problem with unknown solution to me: Evolution starts, displays the emails already downloaded but it remains there frozen, nothing is clickable. From the System monitor there are the 4 processes started by evolution that are all regular. What can I check what is happening please?

Also, related to Evolution. I hold 4 different email addresses, one gmail and 3 no. The messages addressed to the 3 non gmail ones all end up in Inbox. Is there a way to display the messages under the different accounts as they should be (or at least as I've seen them so far in outlook and T.bird)?

If you are using POP3, you have to setup filters in evolution: http://library.gnome.org/users/evolu...counts.html.en

May be it is frozen because it is fetching mails (it is the case for claws-mail).

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing as well re:filters.

Yes, it is frozen while fetching emails, left it there for an hour or so (I honestly forgot it there) and didn't fetch anything. From the webmail I can see that there are messages. The little spinning fetching dials aren't spinning though.

Oh, and until yesterday it was working brilliantly.

I add that from time to time it requires the chainring (keychain? keyring? well, that one) password because it didn't get unlocked before, and little helps putting the correct password, the thing doesn't want to work.

All this happens one time every ten attempts, roughly.

I also add that I uninstalled the application, and then re-installed it - no joy.
