Live CD distro to start with

Dear Forum Moderators,

Accept my apologies if this is not the right place for my query, thanks.

I just came across this page and there are so many Live CDs to choose from, could you please tell me which one is the best to go for if one is using for the very first time? Please share your experience with the Live CDs that you might have already used, thanks...

Which page? Edit: I see you've added it now.

I've used Mint 7 and Fedora 11 LiveCDs and both were pretty good. I think F11 would be narrowly better than Mint, but that might just be personal preference.

I take it you meant "full featured" LiveCDs, and not special purpose?

Hi Evil_Bert,

Thanks,

Yes, I want full featured so that I can test a lot of stuff just like a normal HDD installed Linux distro.

Knoppix has always been a favorite and the current KNOPPIX_V6.2CD is nice.

EDIT: There is a live dvd also.
