Arrow X Windows: VGA yes, DVI no

I recently installed F11 x86_64 on my core duo box with an nvidia 7200GS video card
with no problems. However, I performed the installation with the VGA port on the
video card attached to the VGA port on my Dell 1905FP LCD monitor. When I removed
the the VGA cable and connected a DVI cable from the video card to the monitor
the screen went blank. On repeated reboots the screen goes blank just before it
would bring up the X windows login.

I've tried hacking xorg.conf without success.

I'm guessing if I had installed with the DVI connected initially I would be all set but
would prefer not to reinstall everything.

Let's start with posting your xorg.conf. Shouldn't be too hard to solve this. Without it, noone cannot help you. Post it and i will try to fix it for you.

I've tried about 20 different versions. Here's the one that's currently running just fine with the vga connector:
