As you already know, the next release of our favorite linux distribution will use a new installer.
So, I decided that it's time to play with it!
Using a pxe boot, I started this new marvellous piece of software.
When I was looking at it, I was thinking 'what the hell???'
When I was using it, I was thinking 'what the hell???'
And when I looked at the memory requirement, I just said loudly 'what the hell???'
Am I disconnected from reality??? Can we really call this progress or improvement?
So, I tried the last debian installer, in text mode.
It is clean, intuitive (except for the disk utility, maybe).
In a nutshell, it is a good old installer!
Wait... I'm not that old...
So I gave a try to the new mageia installer. It was a shock (compared to our new anaconda...)
A pretty graphical installer, intuitive, clean, with the possibility to check/modify the configuration at the end,
before the installation.
And the memory requirement for all of this is around 325Mo only!

So I wonder... why cannot we have a light, intuitive and complete installer???
