Kernel boot selection

Currently I am booting to "kernel-debug.x86_64 3.3.7-1.fc17" to solve a few problems. I have forgotten how to load the new F17-64 bit kernel into boot menu. How I loaded the ***-debug kernel is a mystery to me.

Re: Kernel boot selection

I don't think I understand precisely what you mean here. Are you saying there is no "Fedora (3.3.7-1.fc16.x86_64)" menu entry in your grub2 menu? If not, is that kernel even installed?
Code:
rpm -qa | grep kernel

Re: Kernel boot selection

So, to get back to ya on this, when I did my upgrade, the F17 kernel did not install and take the place of the F16 kernel. So, I was hoping to change the config file but couldn't find out how to do it. So I did a drastic yum remove kernel* and then yum install kernel*. Throwing the wildcard in there pretty much fixed the problem I rebooted and then was able to boot into the F17 kernel.

Thanks for the terminal code PT. I'll save that one for next time.
