Chromium: Adobe reader 8 and 9.1 plugin doesn't work

Using 32 bit version with plugins enabled.
About: Plugins shows Adobe 8 reader enabled.
All I get when I click on a .pdf file is a black screen.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I updated to 9.1 but the problems remains.
The option to set application preferences seems to be missing in "Options".
I assume the reader works on yours, does it open the document in the browser?

i use the default Evince "Document Viewer 2.26.2" in Gnome in fedora and firefox and seamonkey auto open pdf's in it
or the KDE "Okular"
i gave up on adobe a while ago it is very bloated
but i do not use Chromium ( except for the game called that)
