Exclamation Looking for help making a Guide for AMD catalyst

Hello everyone i really need some help ,

I want to edit this guide

http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Fed...allation_Guide

I am looking for someone that has a AMD HD 5000 -7000 series card that can help me with instructions on how to install the AMD catalyst 12.6 drivers on a clean install of fedora F17

with RPM fusion .

every guide i can find has outdated instructions and after i have followed each one of the guides i can find the driver install fails or i get a panic after reboot.

please help me fix this guide so the average person can understand how to install the drivers it will help a lot of people.

After i can test that the instructions work i will make sure every site / guide i can find has updated info so people all over the world will have less trouble.

the only thing is i need your help please.

thank you so much for helping me
mike

please be as detailed as possible some users will be somewhat new to linux keep this in mind

I don't cater for noobs, to frustrating
This guide was written 2/7/12 and is current and works (if it doesn't work it's normally down to user error ).

Thanks for trying to help but that's the same Guide I have been using and it installs but after the reboot I get a nasty error that says to contact the administrator.

This was enough to make me put my AMD HD7770 in the trash can.

I have decided to never buy AMD again and now am a proud owner of an Nvidia GTX 560

Nvidia works and drivers install with almost no work at all.

Why is Nvidia so much easier to get working then AMD ?

That's gnome 3 crashing, not Xorg.
give a try with xfce/kde/lxde/whateverde and you'll discover that it was working, probably.
Of course if you can catch back this happy trashman.
