[SOLVED] CDemu, Gnome 3 Fallback mode not automounting discs

Hello:

I'm running Fedora 17 with Gnome 3.4 in Fallback mode. Recently I tried installing CDemu since it is not in any Fedora repository that I can find, using the detailed instructions in this thread for Fedora 13: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...so-2-a-817679/. Everything is working except that when mounting images with CDemu, they do not get automounted to /media or show up on the desktop. But physical discs do get automounted just fine via the physical drive in the PC (/dev/sr0). I've been looking for a solution and have come up empty.

I confirmed that CDemu is doing its part because the disc image is available via /dev/sr1, as a test I used VirtualBox and it shows the CDemu device and can mount it just fine from that device. But for some reason Gnome will not mount /dev/sr1 on its own. I'm having a hard time finding how Gnome automounts discs like this.

If anybody can tell me what to check that would be very helpful ... Thanks!

All of a sudden this started working. So to confirm, CDemu will work with Gnome 3 Fallback mode, and Gnome is mounting the virtual discs correctly on the desktop!
