Re: How to connect windows client to fedora server?
Depends on what "connect" means; a domain complete with single sign on, profiles, and a gauntlet of services; or do you just want to move files back and forth?
Samba, sftp, ssh...,

Re: How to connect windows client to fedora server?
Option 1. The fastest way is sftp. Grab a client, WinSCP for ex., and point it at your linux box.
At a terminal:
Code:
su
service sshd restart
exit
Then jump to your windows pc and try to connect with WinSCP.
Option 2. Samba's more work but appears like "file and printer sharing" to use Window's language.

I don't understand this statement or question. sftp works with ssh. So, by default, any valid linux user can log on. Untill you reconfigure ssh ie.,
