Hello all,
Can anyone point me in the direction of a mailing list or board that might be able to provide MOSIX 3 help?
On the off-chance that there is a Mosix 3 Guru here, this is a copy of the original email I sent. Thanks for reading.
============================
Hello.
I am attempting to install Mosix 3 and also build a mosix-enabled kernel on my 64-bit Fedora Core 16 system. I downloaded mosix-3.0.1.0.for_kernel-3.3.tbz from your website. I also downloaded the linux sources (linux-3.3.tar.bz2) from the following location:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kern...ux-3.3.tar.bz2
Next, I ran ./mosix.install and chose to install on “this node only.” I tried fetching the kernel but this did not work. I then tried telling it that I had the sources locally – and ultimately the system produced this error:
================================================== ====
1. Yes, please fetch the Linux kernel (3.3) sources from the internet.
2. Yes, the Linux kernel (3.3) sources are already on this computer.
3. No, or not now, because either:
a) I have already installed this kernel (or a compatible version).
b) I will install the kernel later.
c) I am happy to use MOSIX without a special kernel:
I am aware that only some features will work,
such as batch jobs, but that is all I need.
d) I use OpenSUSE and therefore prefer the pre-compiled
MOSIX-kernel RPM from
http://mosix.org/text_acadnp.html.

Where on disk are the kernel sources (3.3) ?- /mos3

Sorry, failed patching the kernel (is it a wrong version?)

Is there something I am doing wrong? Can you please advise or point me to help?
