Not able to connect internet usin USB modem.

Hi,
I am using samsung mobile (sgh-b220) in order to connect to the internet. I can easily connect on windows system , using PC studio software.
I tried KPPP, wvidial none solved the problem.
(It successfully dials the number. Put pppd connection will be terminated)


Some how I managed to scan modem communication taking place on the windows system, and tried exact commands on linux system still I am not able connect.

I have attached log files from windows machine. wvidial.conf, wvidial out put file along with this post.

Please help me to get rid of windows,

NetworkManager should recognise the modem and connect it automatically for you. If needed you can edit hte connections details by right clicking on the NM icon.

I have been using a mobile broadband usb modem with Fedora for many versions now and it always works without need to set up manually.

i am shobhit..Please help me with the problem mentioned below.

i have the same mobile phone samsung SGH B220 and when ever i connect it to my PC to access internet it sometimes disconnected (after trying it 100 times it connect only for once)...i am using it on windows xp sp2 platform even i have PC studio software v3.2.1 .I connected it many times, even it gets connected for 10 seconds after that it disconnect...

what could i do to solve this problem?
can u tell me how u connect on ur system while using windows platform?
please tell me if u have any other PC studio software version that u r using?
i have used it to connect through airtel,idea,aircel? is there any other connection dat supports it...

the steps dat i follows are...

1. connect usb with my mobile to PC
2. open PC studio. it shows connected command.
3. click on network option to get access to internet.
4.click create, enter the connection name, then country name ie india, next click to airtel or idea, (for aircel connectivity i select other). then enter apn name like airtelgprs.com then click ok. and then a window appear do u want to connect to internet click yes...then dial and after dat it connect for 10 sec then disconnect or never connect or gives error related to 691 or 692...wat i will do

please give some help....
