Fedora 12-i386-DVD.iso burns bad

i've downloaded this image from 3 different sources. checksums are verified.

DVD image write errors out on \Packages\bus-pinyin-1.2.020090915-1.fc12.noarch.rpm

has happened on 5 DVD writes so far

has happened with Fedora-12-x86_64-DVD.iso also but on a different file.

DVD writer can write other images no problem.

is there a fix for this?

What application are you using to try and burn? If you've downloaded from three different sources and verified OK its unlikely it's a fault in the image. Are you burning on a Windows OS or *nix?

A couple of other questions:
What speed are you burning? 4x? 8x? max?
How are you verifying the burn? When I used k3b to burn iso's it always reported a defective image but the disks always worked fine.

sw: ImgBurn v2.5.0.0
os: windows 2003
dvd: memorex dvd+r

speed set to AWS & verify

i'll try at a slower speed and see if that helps. just seems odd that these iso's are the only ones giving me a bit of time with writing.

let ya know if i succeed at a slower speed

thx

diff speed didn't make a diff. still errored out on the verify at the same file no matter.

linux dvd read test during install errors out on all the dvd's too.

You can try downloading deamon tools virtual drives.

Mount the ISO into deamon drive and then use the copy CD option and burn the mounted Cd.
It has worked for me before.

Deamon tools used to be all free. Now they have a trial and free version.
