Question Firefox language support?

Recently I installed Fedora 12. I noticed that every possible language support is included in Firefox.
What is the reason for this?
Will Fedora and Firefox still work if I remove these languages?

This issue has been discussed at length elsewhere in this Forum, many times. In short: not everyone in the world speaks English.

Yes, BUT since the FireFox language add-ons are installed system-wide, you must start FF as root-user and remove them, one at a time. You will also have to repeat the exercise after each and every FF update, since those add-ons will be re-installed with each new update. Also: Delta-RPMs will fail due to the missing files.

Thanks guys, I did search the forum but I missed the link.

I know not everyone in the world speaks English. Still I thought there must be more than that, since in openSUSE Firefox language packs are optional.

All right, if that's the Fedora way of working then I should better leave it as it is, rather than go through the pain of removing it with each new release. At least now I know that this is normal behavior.
