Virtualization - Filesystem passthrough

Can anyone tell me if KVM-QEMU Filesystem passthrough works on F17?

I have been trying to run a Windows VM under a CentOS host but encounter the error: Not supported for this hypervisor/libvirt combination (CentOS 6.3).

Don't know if it is possible but I am hoping that Filesystem passthrough will allow me to make an NTFS partition available (via NTFS-3g) inside a Windows VM, is that likely to work.

Re: Virtualization - Filesystem passthrough

The VirtFS works as expected for a Fedora Host and Fedora Guest (you must 'sudo modprobe 9p' on the guest). I don't think it's possible as the VirtFS presents a special '9p' posix file system to the guest, and there is no support for that in Windows.

It looks like maybe there
http://code.google.com/p/itrs-test3/...tail?id=29will be support someday,

BTW I created a VirtFS for a Win7 here and the VirtFS device 1af4:1009 appears on the PCI bus, biut no driver of course.
