Since I still manage to to destroy my installation of Fedora 17 KDE every third or fourth time I try to update a driver, add fonts, or change user permissions, I still happen to make a new installation every two or three days, but I think I have mostly figured it out yet.
However, the Screensavers from Display and Monitor Settings are gone. The only one I have is "Blank Screen". A week or so ago, there were always about a dozen or so to chose from. Now when I try to get them work by using the xscreensaver options, I only get a package of 200 rather ugly looking ones that don't even appear in the Screenaver settings but have their own programm which has its own time settings and everything.
Where are all the normal screensavers gone and how can I get them back?

Found the solution on a 4 year old site about Fedora 10.
You need "KDE-artwork" installed to have the xscreensavers displayed in the KDE screensaver menu and then you'll also get some screensavers (like the only decent picture slideshow among the many) that you don't have listed in the xscreensaver menu.
