I am having this problem.
My kernel is
4.0.4-301.fc22.x86_64
@Ankit360: Your log shows you are logged in using "liveuser" account. Are you running the system in from live dvd? Have you not been able to install it?
Anway, if anybody is having this problem on an installed system, please try out below steps :
Create a new file called /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf with below text:
Reboot and see if it resolves your issue. I am not sure whether this can be done on a live dvd. But you can try coz if the live dvd is running from a pen drive, there is some storage space available on it.Code:Section "Device" Identifier "card0" Driver "intel" Option "AccelMethod" "uxa" EndSection

Secondary OS: Windows 10 Pro x86_64
It's not a kernel issue.
Same kernel version (4.0.4) in F21 works fine, but in F22 gets the fuzzies![]()
By any chance, Anybody tried the solution I suggested above?
By the way, there is another update to Intel driver that got pushed today morning:
Code:xorg-x11-drv-intel x86_64 2.99.917-10.20150526.fc22

I too am having this problem. Using a Thinkpad x200s.
Kia ora,
F22 via fedup from f21 and massive distortion of images and text. It has settled somewhat after a few reboots and browser Opera is now workable, Firefox is not, and going into system docs, terminal etc gets real messy.
was not able to capture a log.
On Lenovo Thinkpad
any solutions appreciated!
Geoff
ps.
I just just booted from ISO DVD to see if things were different but just as messy! So I'll sit tight on what i've got!

I did a fedup of the system I'm on right now (Tesseract) yesterday and noticed the tab titles of FIrefox were distorted when using the system at an internet cafe this morning. This cleared as I switched from tab to tab. I was running X this morning. I'm running Wayland this evening and haven't seen any of the quirks tonight.

Hi,
Could you please explain X and Wayland and what they do, how to enable disable etc. I realise there's a lot of talk about Wayland but I'm not sure what it's all about!
Cheers,
Geoff.
Edit:
Sorry! should have had a play before asking questions. I logged into Wayland and wow did it slow everything down! Painful!! And then it crashed the whole system, black screen for a while and then back to login screen. Not Good. So i then logged into Gnome classic to have a look thinking a more basic system might be what it needs, but no, really messy graphics with desktop pretty much unreadable so logged out and now back to Gnome. Whew.
Edit 2
i disabled all extensions bar adblock in Firefox and that cleaned up the tool bar, but pictures on pages are still distorted. i disabled all addons for gnome (most were not upgraded yet anyway) but no change there.

update to intel driver 2.99.917 issue is still there . going to play with xorg.conf after lunch
This can get a bit technical and I will answer for others who might want to know. Most of us have no idea how many layers of software are between the CPU and the pixels on the screen. From the processor, off the display driver, through the video hardware, out the graphics port - Nothing but monitor. It's important to understand that Wayland is in its infancy. So far All of my systems have been fairly stable while running it. It's worth taking for a test drive. None of my systems have been slowed down by it either.
If you are running Gnome on F22 you can sign on to Gnome using X which is the X terminal graphics server that's been used for graphic user interfaces in Linux for years or you can sign on to Gnome using Wayland. An X Client such as Reflections X that communicates with an X Server is how you get a GUI in commercial distributions of Unix. Wayland is a more modern approach that uses operating system features to replace some of the X Server.
Wikipedia has a decent page on Wayland. Here's a link to a summary of differences.

A picture of how to sign on to it is worth a thousand words along with a nice discussion of Wayland on F21.

My Asus laptop had the distortion after a clean installation.
Your solution worked perfectly, thanks
