IBM SDK 3.0 Cell Dev tools for F8

Hello,

Does anyone out there know if the standard gcc-4.x toolchain that ships with f8ppc has SPE optimization like the IBM devkit? Do I need to follow the IBM download and install procedure or have the f8 and project gnu folks already folded that work in to the shipped toolchain?

As far as I know, you still need to install the devkit. Yellow Dog 6 is the only Linux for PS3 I know of that ships with Cell SDK 3.0 pre-installed.
