Any Gamers?

Just curious if we have any gamers here in Fedora Forums?

I do game once a day just because work can be very stressful.

I have been a counter strike freak since 1.2 and now am drooling over counterstrike: source.

List some games you can't put down.

I used to be a gamer once upon a time. I'm partial to a bit of Wenoth every so often in Linux though.

Games are probably the only reason winXP still inhabits a partition on my HDD (well, my temperamental unsupported wireless card using ndiwswrapper is another...). Since I havent even tried to get my ATI radeon configured in linux, I only play games in windows... *sniff*

I like crpgs like the fallouts (best games ever!!1) and baldurs gates (also best games ever!!1), turn based strategy games (civilizations series!!1) and some FPSs. Now that I've moved to a 100% linux system I'm pretty unaware of my gaming possibilities but luckily I've got a ps2 and some gta games to enterntain myself.

oh and gnome mah jong rules. I noticed that it's not that hard if you have patience. which I don't have. damn it!

I will be once Id release the Doom3 binaries.
I suppose I should also get UT2k4 but I am waiting for the price of the DVD edition to drop (The CD release is about 1/2 the price of the DVD version for some reason)
I also played quite a bit of ET when it first came out

Doom 3 isn't all that great imo. The atmosphere is too much like in a crappy horror movie where all the tension is built on mosters jumping out of nowhere straight in front of your face. It looks great and all but I think even far cry, which was ruined by the mutants, was better. Now if only call of duty was released on linux... that's a good fps.
